Background of the Project
The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University, in collaboration with the Ceramics and Glass Department, Kala Bhavana (Institute of Fine Arts), Visva-Bharati University, India, which specializes in the art and design of glass and ceramic works, organized The Genesis of Nature: An Ecological Conversation. The project featured a glass art workshop aimed at enhancing craftsmanship skills and increasing the value of glass-based products. Additionally, an exhibition was held to showcase the artworks, allowing a broader audience to engage with and benefit from artistic knowledge exchange.

Objectives
- To promote and develop knowledge exchange in the art of glassblowing, enhancing craftsmanship skills and adding value to glass-based products.
- To organize an art exhibition featuring glass artworks, facilitating the widespread dissemination of artistic knowledge through interactive activities.
Project Details
The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University, collaborated with the Ceramics and Glass Department, Kala Bhavana (Institute of Fine Arts), Visva-Bharati University, India to host this initiative. Professor Sisir Sahana, Head of the Ceramics and Glass Department at Kala Bhavana, served as the lead instructor, sharing his expertise to enhance craftsmanship skills and product value in glass art. The project also included an exhibition of the workshop’s artworks, allowing participants and the public to engage with the creative process and gain insights into the artistic and ecological aspects of glassmaking.

Impacts
The project contributed to knowledge development in glass art, enhancing craftsmanship skills and increasing the value of glass-based products. It also provided a platform for artistic knowledge exchange through a public exhibition, ensuring widespread engagement and appreciation of the craft.
